Of course, there's GE (GE), which owns 80% of Bravo's parent company, NBC Universal. In addition, while first- and second-season winners took home as a prize a suite of Sears'(SHLD) Kenmore appliances, more recent "Top Chef" kitchens have been outfitted by GE, which closed down 7 cents on Wednesday to $9.01. It hit a multiyear low of $8.43 on Feb. 24.

Every time contestants are sent to the grocery store (which, you can imagine, happens a lot), we're rewarded with glamorous shots of them walking down the wide, glistening aisles of Whole Foods (WFMI), which closed up 1.5% on Wednesday at $12.65. TheStreet.com Ratings upgraded Whole Foods from sell to hold on Feb. 23.

Specific to this season, we have Episode 3's Swanson broth challenge, in which contestants are given an hour to recreate a recipe from the "Top Chef" cookbook. Ten minutes into the challenge, they're instructed to switch gears, and using Swanson broth, to turn their dishes into soups. Swanson's broth business is owned by Campbell Soup (CPB), which closed up 4 cents to $28.69.

Most if not all of the Season 5 contestants, by some strange coincidence, have the same cell phone, a Sidekick LX from Deutsche Telekom's (DT) T-Mobile. Hosea uses one in Episode 6, Fabio calls his wife on one in Episode 11, and Eugene shows his off in Episode 7. DT closed down 39 cents, or 3.3%, at $11.54 on Wednesday.

An Episode 7 challenge involves Dr. Pepper (DPS), an ingredient the contestants were surely thrilled to incorporate into their dishes. If that wasn't enough, in the holding room while the chefs wait to be called to the judges' table, boxes of Diet Dr. Pepper are often placed inexplicably on shelves directly behind their heads. Dr. Pepper closed down 50 cents, or 3.3%, at $14.79.

Oatmeal was the star of an Episode 10 challenge -- specifically, Quaker Oats, a Pepsi (PEP) product. Who knew you could bread so many foods with oatmeal? Pepsi closed down 96 cents, or 1.9%, at $50.72. Jim Cramer said on Tuesday that he prefers Pepsi, which he owns for his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust, to Coca-Cola (KO).
